So, I've started collecting a handful of 'em over the last year or and so, just for fun.

When nosotros moved final week, I put all my boards into a box, and realized I never shared a little DIY idea that I created a while dorsum. You may have seen information technology popular up in Monday'southward DIY fall picnic mail.

Supplies:

inexpensive breadboard (mine if from World Market – on sale for $sixteen) // spray paint (I like Montana Gold) and spray sealant // painters tape

How To:

one. Map out the expanse of the board you want to add pigment to (I recommend the handle expanse, then it doesn't come up in contact with food). Then tape off the area where y'all don't want paint to adhere to the surface, all the mode around the board, with painter'southward record.

2. Spray i-2 coats of spray paint over the board, letting the paint dry in between coats, according to instructions on the tin. Once dry, flip over and repeat the process on the back of the lath.

How to Color Block a Bread Board

So simple! I honey the rich teal color with the dark wood, but lighter colors would await dandy also…mayhap a lite grey, mint, or white.

Entertaining Idea: You could layer the board up with meats and cheeses, and employ it as more equally a platter as well, since it's a pretty decent size. Be sure to add these leather DIY cheese markers also, if you do.
